Hitchhiker’s Guide sequel searching for digital home

Penguin certainly isn’t showing a lack of support for its much debated sequel to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. The rollickingly wry sci fi series by the late Douglas Adams remains popular with fans and new readers alike, and it seems that the publishers are keen to keep the hype alive.

October will see ‘And Another Thing’ – penned by Eoin Colfer, author of the Armetis Fowl titles – enter the Hitchhiker cannon and Penguin plans to create a special website for the literary event, serving us with yet another reminder of the burgeoning ties between the two medias – as far as advertising and hype goes anyway.

If there’s a series of books that particularly deserves an online presence and maybe a home on one of the most up-to-date e-book readers though, it’s surely the Hitchhiker series.
