No NaNoWriMo for me this year, I don’t think… though I only made that decision just now, after getting a few thousand words into it. I decided to save myself the anguish and stress, which just puts me off writing. I’ve very, very briefly considered writing 12 (awful) books in 12 months before, but prefer my brain to remain non-burst.

I did wonder if you were going to do it again this year Dave. You got a lot done last time didn’t you? I think a non bursting brain is generally a good thing!

I’ve had a couple of Choose Your Own Adventure style things going on for a while (which means I spent two full days excitedly writing them in June before immediately losing interest), so I might carry on with those instead – writing quality feels less important when it’s a stupid thing like that, so maybe I can actually enjoy it rather than getting irritated at my shortcomings.
